Gerbera

The goal of Tyumen feminist initiative “Gerbera” is the protection of rights and interests of the victims of gender violence and discrimination; raising awareness, social, psychological and legal help.

The creator of the group – Marina Gerz – is a social worker, volunteer coordinator, engaged in LGBTIQ-activism in the region for five years. Holds lectures and seminars about gender and sexuality and personal growth groups.

Zinaida Korobko – PR-manager of the initiative: “Many people don’t take the problems, tackled by feminism, seriously. The slogans in the leaflets and speeches often stay unnoticed. Joining creativity and activism helps to show the problem from a new side, to attract attention and help to solve it”.

Queer-Spectrum

We, the Queer-Spectrum group from Krasnodar, are at first a company of friends, and then – an initiative group. We held a theatrical festival, its goal was to allow the non-professionals express themselves on stage. Several years ago we made a video cycle “The Sleep of Reason”, dedicated to revealing different stereotypes, widespread in society (because stereotypes are something we use when we don’t want to contemplate and analyze). Recently we held a seminar “Let’s Talk about Misogyny”, where there gathered lots of women and men.

In whole, the main interest of our group today is finding different ways to express ourselves in artistic sphere.

RFO “ONA”

Russian feminist union “ONA” (“SHE”) was founded in Moscow in December 2013. There were five persons among the initiators.

“On this historical stage we consider that it is necessary to create a union, a coalition, not a traditional political party or an organization with inflexible structure and one and the only ideology. To overcome the current atomism, chaotic separateness and create a truly powerful feminist movement, we need to get together, centralize and coordinate our activities, accumulate all the existing resources and cumulate new”.
